TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions govern the basis on which Cheeky Chums Day Nursery agrees to provide childcare services to you

Hours of Operation:

Standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks per year. The nursery will be closed on all bank holidays, over Christmas and 2 additional training days, of which, parents will be notified at least 4 weeks in advance. Early drop offs and late pickups can be arranged at an additional charge, subject to availability.

Number of Sessions:

Each child is required to attend at least 4 half day sessions or 2 full days per week for under 3 years and at least 6 sessions for pre-school. The number of sessions per week can be reduced to a minimum per week, by giving one month notice. Any request for increase, will be subject to availability. Sessions cannot be swapped at any time.

Registration:

To request a place, a non-refundable registration fee of £150 is to be paid with the application form. This does not guarantee that a place available for your child for the sessions requested. In the event a place is not available, we will contact you as soon as a place becomes available. On securing a place for your child refundable deposit £250 is to be paid by cash, cheque or card.

Fee Payment:

All fees for contracted sessions will be due and must be paid on a monthly basis in advance, by direct debit, which will be collected on the 5th day of the month. Extra sessions or additional fee will be included in the invoice for the following month, which will be provided, a week prior to the due date for payment and the direct debit amount will be amended accordingly. Change in fees due to 3 year old funding will be applicable from term after the child’s 3rd birthday. No refunds will be made for any period where your child’s nursery place is unfilled due to illness, being away on holidays, staff training days, bank holidays or if the nursery is closed due to ‘acts of god’ or environmental factors beyond our control. Fees are payable during the notice period, fees are also payable, if there is a delay in taking up the nursery place once confirmed. Payment of fees will be the responsibility of the person signing the registration form.

Late Payments:

If you fail to make payment in full by the due date an administration fee of £30 will be charged along with an interest charge of 2% above the base rate of our bank on the fee outstanding for every day the invoice remains unpaid. This will be enforced without exception. We reserve the right to terminate your child’s place with immediate effect, if you fail to pay the fee within 14 days of the due date.

Employing Nursery Staff:

Parents of children registered at the nursery, employing Cheeky Chums staff within 6 months of the staff member leaving Cheeky Chums, will be liable to pay a recruitment fee of 20% of the annual salary of the staff member.

Illness:

Parents/guardian should inform the nursery, if the child will not be attending the nursery due to illness. If the child is suffering from a contagious illness, the child should not be brought to the nursery until the illness has passed. The manger will contact the parents/guardian, if a child fails ill whilst at the nursery.

Child Welfare:

We are fully compliant with all government regulations, in particular having policies and procedures in place for safeguarding and protecting children. We have an obligation to report any instances where we suspect that a child may have been neglected or abused to the relevant authorities with or without informing you, and will act in accordance with government regulations. We reserve the right to use CCCTV footage should a need arise (for example police investigations or court cases).

It is your responsibility to notify the Nursery prior to registration if your child has an allergy or medical condition. You must complete the required forms and ensure your provide the Nursery with all the relevant details regarding the health and care requirements of your child. We must ask all parents NOT to bring in food of any kind for their child into the nursery, except for formula. We have children attending who have special dietary requirements and allergies; it is a health and safety precaution for those children.

Notice of Termination:

A minimum of one calendar month‘s written notice is required to terminate your child’s place at the nursery. The nursery reserves the right to terminate a child’s place with immediate effect if a serious breach of the terms and conditions occur, or if termination of a place is considered by the Nursery to be in the best interest of the nursery, the continuing welfare of the child, other children at the nursery, or the staff. We reserve the right to suspend the provision of child care to your child, with immediate effect, if your child’s behaviour at the nursery is considered unacceptable and/or endangers the safety and wellbeing of the other children at the nursery.

Other:

  • On occasion photographs may be taken of your child within the nursery setting to be used for training and promotional materials.
  • The nursery may organise trips and visits outside the nursery premises. If you do not wish your child to participate, then please notify the Manager.
  • It is the parents’ responsibility to advice the Nursery in writing of any changes to details or personal circumstances (separations/divorce/ injunctions).
  • If a member of staff is sick, you may be required to remain with your child to maintain the ratios, till alternative arrangements are made.
  • The nursery does not accept any responsibility for accidental damage or loss of property. We do not encourage children to bring their own toys into the nursery.
  • Late pick-up fee of £30 is payable for first 15 minutes if the child is not picked up at the end of the session. An additional charge of £20 will apply for every 15 minutes thereafter. Social services will be informed if the child is not picked up within 30 minutes of the end of the Session.
  • The fees are reviewed annually. Parents will be given at least six weeks’ notice of any changes to the fees. Any changes in the terms and conditions will also be notified at least six weeks in advance.
  • The initial direct debit set-up is free. There will a charge of £30 to re-instate cancelled direct debit and also for return direct debit.
  • The pre-school fees are applicable from start of the term when child gets eligible for 3 years old funding, until then fees will be charged at Fawns rate.

CUBS ROOM – PINNER

20 HOURS PER WEEK (15 FUNDED HOURS PLUS 5 HOURS)

  1. A non-refundable registration fee of £150 and a £250 refundable deposit is payable.
  2. Meals provided during the day are chargeable.
  3. The additional hours and meals charges will be calculated on an annual basis and invoiced monthly for 11 months excluding August.
  4. No extra sessions are available at any time.
  5. If any fees (e.g. late fees) are due, the child cannot attend nursery until the outstanding is cleared.
  6. Sessions are 13.00 p.m. to 18.00 p.m., term time only.
  7. Sessions offered can be changed by Cheeky Chums Day Nursery by giving a term’s notice.
  8. There may be additional charges for any activities on offer. Parents can choose to opt out. *
  9. All children are required to wear the nursery uniform which can be purchased from the nursery.
  10. Parents are required to label all items of uniform.
  11. All other terms and conditions are applicable.

35 HOURS PER WEEK (30 FUNDED HOURS PLUS 5 HOURS)

  1. A non-refundable registration fee of £150 and a £250 refundable deposit is payable.
  2. Meals provided during the day are chargeable.
  3. The additional hours and meals charges will be calculated on an annual basis and invoiced monthly for 11 months excluding August.
  4. No extra sessions are available at any time.
  5. If any fees (e.g. late fees) are due, the child cannot attend nursery until the outstanding is cleared.
  6. Sessions are 08.00 a.m. to 18.00 p.m. Or 08.00 a.m. to 13.00 p.m. Or 13.00 p.m. to 18.00 pm., term time only.
  7. Sessions offered can be changed by Cheeky Chums Day Nursery by giving a term’s notice.
  8. There may be additional charges for any activities on offer. Parents can choose to opt out. *
  9. All children are required to wear the nursery uniform which can be purchased from the nursery.
  10. Parents are required to label all items of uniform.
  11. All other terms and conditions are applicable

ALL YEAR ROUND CARE (15 AND 30 FUNDED HOURS STRETCHED ACROSS THE YEAR)

  1. A non-refundable registration fee of £150 and a £250 refundable deposit are payable.
  2. Minimum 6 sessions per week, all year round will be charged at sessional rate.
  3. Meals charges are included in the monthly fee.
  4. Fees and funded sessions will be calculated on an annual basis and equally spread across 12 months.
  5. A fee schedule is provided, showing the funded and non-funded sessions.
  6. All children are required to wear the nursery uniform which can be purchased from the nursery.
  7. Parents are required to label all items of uniform.
  8. There may be additional charges for activities on offer. Parents can choose to opt out. *
  9. Sibling or any other discounts will be applicable to the non-funded session fee only.
  10. All other terms and conditions are applicable.

15 HOURS FUNDED ONLY (LIMITED SPACES)

  1. No registration or deposit required.
  2. Sessions are 15.00 p.m. to 18.00 p.m., Monday – Friday, term time only.
  3. No session changes or any additional add on sessions.

* Extra-curricular classes such as Superstar Sports and Shakers are charged directly by the provider and parents can choose the uptake of these classes.
